Maude Perreault

Maude Perreault, Dt.P. RD Ph.P (she/her) is a registered dietitian and assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition at the University of Montréal. She is also a researcher at the Centre Jean-Jacques-Gauthier, which is part of the research centre of the CIUSSS-Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal. She works in public health nutrition, where she collaborates with community partners.

Sandrine Bouchard

Sandrine Bouchard is a nutritionist and a student in the Master’s program in nutrition research at the University of Montreal. Her project focuses on describing the socio-demographic profile of the dietetic workforce in Quebec, with an emphasis on diversity and the representativeness of various social positions. Sandrine demonstrates strong leadership skills, notably by continuing to be actively involved in the nutrition department through the graduate studies committee.

Sandrine Geoffrion

Sandrine Geoffrion is a dietitian with a master’s degree in nutrition from Université de Montréal. As a research professional on the team, she is working on a survey project that will provide a socio-demographic portrait of dietitian-nutritionists across Canada, and examine their perceptions of discrimination, diversity and sense of belonging within the profession. 

Sarthak Matravadia

Sarthak Matravadia is a nutritionist with a master’s degree and a doctorate in nutrition. As a professional researcher, he is involved in a CFDR-funded research project examining national admission processes for dietetic programs across Canada. He also participates in grant writing and project design.

Fatoumata Binta Balde

Fatoumata Binta Balde is a registered dietitian and a MSc student in nutrition at the Université de Montréal. She first completed a literature review course and research internship placement with our team, then she continued with a research project focusing on anti-black racism in dietetic in Canada. Her project explores the experiences of anti-black racism among black dietitian-nutritionists in Canada. In parallel to her MSc project, she is involved in a projet to develop anti-racism training in dietetics. Binta is also a coordinator of La Boîte à livres de Liliane.

Nina Klioueva

Nina Klioueva is a nutritionist and a student in the Master’s program in nutrition at the University of Montreal. Her research project is in collaboration with our community partner La Tablée des Chefs. She is exploring the impact of the Brigades Culinaires culinary workshop program on the development of food literacy skills among adolescents across Canada.

Samuel Emond-Robertson

Samuel Emond-Robertson is a medical student at the Université de Montréal. He is involved in a project to develop anti-racist training in health care.

Marie-Audrey Roy

Marie-Audrey completed a FIRST summer research internship funded by the University of Montreal as part of her bachelor’s degree in nutrition at the University of Montreal. Her research project focused on the content of nutrition program websites in Canada from a perspective that supports equity, diversity, and inclusion in the profession. Congratulations, Marie-Audrey, on completing your research project and presenting it to various audiences.

Daryle Chatel

Daryle Chatel is a bachelor’s student in nutrition at the Université de Montréal. As part of her research internship, she is contributing to the analysis of food-related memories collected as part of the exhibition Data collection is part of the exhibition Manger! L’expo qui nourrit in partnership with the Musée de la santé Armand-Frappier and the Musée Québécois de l’Agriculture et de l’Alimentation.

Pascale Bourbonnais

Pascale Bourbonnais is a research professional involved in many of the team’s projects. Having completed graduate studies, she offers expertise in project management, literature reviews, ethics approval, protocol writing and analysis of research results.

Nihad Bennacef

Nihad Bennacef is a MSc student in nutrition at the Université de Montréal. Her project focuses on the role of pleasure in the development of food literacy in young people. Her project explores young people’s positive memories of food. Data is collected as part of the museum exhibit Manger! L’expo qui nourrit at the Musée de la santé Armand-Frappier and the Musée Québécois de l’Agriculture et de l’Alimentation. Nihad is also a coordinator of La Boîte à livres de Liliane.

Jasmine Keurentjes

Jasmine Keurentjes is a registered dietitian and a MSc student in nutrition at the Université de Montréal. Her project focuses on breastfeeding with the objective of supporting families to breastfeeding as long as they wish for. Jasmine is carrying out a scoping review of the most effective interventions for improving breastfeeding duration in first-time mothers. This is a collaboration with the research team of Véronique Gingras at CHU Sainte-Justine.

Diana Arnaoutelis

Diana Arnaoutelis is an undergraduate student in nutrition at the Université de Montréal. She is completing a public health internship with the team and contributes to the activities of the Centre Jean-Jacques-Gauthier’s community garden, in collaboration with the Centre’s nutritionists.

Fifi Semmar

Fifi Semmar is an undergraduate student in nutrition at the Université de Montréal. She is involved in La boîte à livres de Liliane.

Alexia Roy

Alexia Roy is an undergraduate student in nutrition at the Université de Montréal. She is involved in La boîte à livres de Liliane.

Selma Abdelaziz

Selma Abdelaziz studied for a Master’s degree in nutrition at the University of Montreal and graduated in 2025. Her project explored the link between the food literacy skills of people at risk of food insecurity and their coping strategies for feeding themselves. She carried out her project as part of the Eating on a Tight Budget study, completed in Montreal, QC. This project was carried out in collaboration with Geneviève Mercille’s research team at the Centre for Public Health Research. Congratulations, Selma, on completing your master’s degree and on your tenacity. We wish you every success in the future!

Alisia Agostinelli

Alisia Agostinelli completed a research internship with our team while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in nutrition at the University of Montreal. She carried out various assignments within our team, but her main project focused on measuring the impact of exposure to a large-scale advocacy campaign for the adoption of a universal food policy in schools on nutrition students’ ambitions in the field of public health nutrition. This project was carried out in collaboration with several faculty members and the internship team of the Department of Nutrition at the University of Montreal. Alisia was also involved in Liliane’s book box project. She is now a nutritionist. It was a pleasure working with you, Alisia!

Léna Demnati

Léna Demnati completed a bachelor’s degree in nutrition at the University of Montreal. She completed an internship in public health with the team and contributed to the launch of the first season of the community garden at the Jean-Jacques-Gauthier Center. She also participated in the creation and facilitation of culinary workshops, in collaboration with nutritionists in clinical and public health settings. Thank you for your contagious passion, Léna! The whole team appreciated having you with us!

Charlotte Hébert-Wiencke

Charlotte Hébert-Wiencke has completed her undergraduate studies in nutrition at Université de Montréal. She completed a summer research internship funded by the program PREMIER of the Université de Montréal. She developed the data collection tool for the project in collaboration with the Musée de la santé Armand-Frappier. She is also a coordinator of La boîte à livres de Liliane. Thank you, Charlotte, for all your contributions to the team. You have left a significant mark!

Catherine C Payette

Catherine C Payette has completed her undergraduate studies in nutrition at the Université de Montréal. She completed several projects in our team, which included a summer research internship funded by the program PREMIER of the Université de Montréal. Her project explored the association between social vulnerability factors and food literacy competencies of adults living with celiac disease. This is a collaboration with Coeliaque Québec. Her work led to a scientific publication, that was recognized by the Ordre des diététiste-nutritionnistes du Québec. Thank you so much, Catherine, for all your hard work and dedication!

Mirna Souadnia
